* Verification of Secondary and Post-Secondary Education
Students must submit academic records of all courses taken and marks earned, exam results, and certificates awarded. You must submit original documents or copies which have been certified by your school or a U.S. embassy or consulate official. A certified English translation must accompany the original academic records if the original records are not in English.
Freshman applicants who are graduates of foreign secondary schools must demonstrate above average academic achievement and an education equivalent to that of a U.S. high school graduate. Students transferring from foreign post-secondary institutions must also demonstrate above average achievement.
Freshman applicants who are graduates of a U.S. high school and who completed at least two years in a U.S. high school must meet the freshman admission requirements established for U.S. citizens. Transfer applicants from within the U.S. must meet regular transfer admission requirements as well as all international admission requirements. If you are a transfer student (F-I International Student) please complete the International Transfer Form.
* SAT/ACT Scores
Texas State does not require the American College Test (ACT) or the Scholastic Assessment Test I (SAT I) of students educated in foreign systems. However, strong results on either test could favorably affect our admission decision, and will provide your academic advisor with valuable information for course placement purposes. International students who plan to participate in intercollegiate athletics are required to meet SAT score requirements for NCAA purposes.
