По крайней мере мне на почту ничего подобного не упало.

может логичнее создать несколько тем - по штатам, или городам?

с дайс и монстра много мусора

кстати, в плане "найма" могу посоветовать linkedin
у меня профайл там не так давно, но звонят-связываются весьма часто
кстати с гораздо более интересными предложениями
и за счет того что это связываются "друзья-друзей" (то есть по цепочке всего твоего networking - у меня достаточно большой в принципе), варианты идут до попадания на дайс или куда то еще
чаще даже не рекрутеры, а директ hire

Они меня звали работать в московский офис. Но я им сказала что ДВ виза у меня уже в паспорте так что звыняйте дядька... Тогда они радостно предложили работать в штатах - на выбор были NYC, Чикаго и что-то еше. Я сказала тоже самое - ибо в долине у них тогда проектов не было.
Нормальная компания, h1 делает опять же - правда платят так что хочется плакать.
Они пытались засудить одного моего друга которому надоело в москве сидеть и он оформил h1-трансфер. Ну естественно у них ничего не вышло. Несколько моих коллег в Москве работает сейчас у них.

Общеприняты два варианта - часовой рейт (в основном для контрактных позиций) и годовой рейт (для постоянных позиций).

На деле, лишь процента полтора людей готовы начать оформление H1B.
А уж в теперешних условиях нехватки виз... вообще как то тухло :(

Кстати, внимательно читайте предложения. Там часто пишут
"Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer."

или
"Sorry, no any viza sponsorship".

Как ни парадоксально, через craigslist я чаще получал отклики. Там часто пишут телефон, можно просто позвонить и поговорить. Живое общение это все таки как то получше. На мой взгляд, конечно.

мне в отдел нужен опытный QA инженер, вернее трое. Для краткосрочных целей - для налаживания нагрузочного тестирования (чем тестировать - пока не знаю, выбираем - так что может быть LoadRunner а может jMeter или что-то другое. Что точно использовать не будем - .net Visual Studio. Но требуется реальный опыт нагрузочного и стресс тестирования.

для долгосрочного - чтобы мог выполнять любую часть работы - и тесты написать на основе спеки и ручками потестировать.
Для f unctional testing планирую использовать Perl, так что его знание желательно, как и знание HTML, Java, XML, SOAP.

P.S. По j1 чем раньше приедешь в штаты (в середине мая, например), тем больше шансов найти работу, как на месте, так и пока находишься дома. Работы в штатах, на которую берут студентов на лето, хватает. Единственный совет, искать работу не в сильно маленьких городках, так как потом трудно будет найти вторую работу (ведь студенты, в основном, едут деньги зарабатывать и немного страну посмотреть и английский подучить :) ). The primary responsibilities of this position include purchasing, planning, inventory control and distribution of materials to production to meet company objectives and customer requirements. This includes the responsibility of managing Purchasing personnel and the Master Scheduler/Receiving Supervisor and coordinating these ********s for the most efficient plant operation. It also includes the responsibility to maintain an orderly and logical arrangement of raw materials.

Job Scope:
Direct/Indirect Reports: 4 direct reports, 3 indirect reports.
Budget Responsibility: $15 – 20 M annually

Job Responsibilities:
60% Procurement of Raw Materials
o Supervises the Purchasing department personnel.
o Establishes the practices and procedures to be followed by all Purchasing department personnel.
o Selects vendors, assesses vendor capabilities, develops alternate sources, evaluates vendor performance, and negotiates price and delivery.
o Recommends major purchases of materials based on anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situations.
o Ensures that purchasing documents are properly completed and the terms and conditions of purchases are appropriate.
o Ensures that department records are maintained and that purchases are followed up or expedited when required. Department records include price histories to provide information on price variances.
o Measures, reports and continuously improves the ratio of consigned vs. non-consigned inventory.
o Minimizes premium transportation charges.
o Works with vendors to improve raw material quality.
o Greatly reduces the storage of “Return to Vendor” items by quickly returning materials rejected by Operations.

10% Production Scheduling
o Manages the master scheduling ********.
o Ensures that scheduling programs are properly implemented and maintained.

30% Raw Material and In-Process Inventory
o Maintains accurate physical raw material and in-process inventory counts.
o Maintains optimum inventory levels.
o Continuously improves inventory turns.
o Manages the receiving and storage of raw materials.
o Manages the supply of materials to the production lines.
o Sets up and maintains optimum warehouse layout for raw materials and in-process inventories.

Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of applicable education and experience; APICS certification highly desired.
2. At least five years related experience in a manufacturing environment; previous experience in the professional audio field is preferred.
3. Must have a proven track record of accomplishments in the key areas of procurement, materials management, and inventory.
4. Must have good computer skills with knowledge of Oracle or other related MRP applications.

Да мне тоже пришло такое сообщение, только потом цену сбили до 25$- типа ошиблись и так скаждым из нас(Мы платим 35$ за каждую отправленную посылку, в неделю до 20 посылок). И от другой компании тоже пришло подобное письмо, но там до 50$"Оплата:
За одну отправленную посылку вы получаете 50$
Оплата производится каждые 2 недели
Посылок бывает неограниченное количество от 5 в неделю" - в переписку ввязался, какие то нервные они все. Но если работать по предоплате то хорошо, а если за свои то извините - не видать им моего адреса.
А на счет мошенничества - очень многие интернет посредники доставляют товары с eBay и т.п таким образом - через реальные американские адреса, потому как с аукционов США никто не будет заниматься доставкой в Минск или Москву, да и есть возможность обойти минскую и московскую таможни, если товар не большой. Но про кардеров - это серьезно, стоит призадуматься, а может они пойдут на заключение контракта или договора?
А вообще тревожно как то за любое предложение готов цепляться.

Насколько быстро может найти работу (не низко оплачиваемую) человек с филологическим образованием (ин.яз, языки: англ, итальянский, немного новогреческого). Есть опыт работы и переводчиком (устные-письменные переводы, технические, в основном), и учителем, и вообще - с детьми?

Сколько стоят услуги беби-ситтера (от в час)?

Бебиситтер получает в среднем 12-15 в час, насколько мне известно. Но загрузка вряд ли будет 40 часов в неделю. Хотя как повезет.
Что касается "как быстро найти работу" - очень зависит от того, куда и когда вы поедете. Сейчас, в кризис, и местные-то работу по несколько месяцев ищут...

Но по приезду сразу не найдешь "квалифицированный труд", т.к. по специальности я экономист. А для квалифицированной работы, мне кажется, там необходимо для начала закончить к-л курсы.
Поэтому сначала будет неквалифицированная работа.
И хотелось бы знать уже какая (приблизительно)...

Если волей судьбы и упорным желанием окажусь в США, то хотел бы узнать о такой сфере работы, как слаботочные системы (low-voltage). А именно есть опыт по установке с нуля и до передачи под ключ: охранные системы, пожарные системы, видео охрана, домофоны, сат-тв. Реально ли найти работу в данной области?
Сам по профессии программист, но в данной области не работаю. Ближе к сердцу - электроника. Хотя можно и совместить.
Уровень английского средний: читаю, пишу и могу изъясниться.

Если волей судьбы и упорным желанием окажусь в США, то хотел бы узнать о такой сфере работы, как слаботочные системы (low-voltage). А именно есть опыт по установке с нуля и до передачи под ключ: охранные системы, пожарные системы, видео охрана, домофоны, сат-тв. Реально ли найти работу в данной области?
Поскольку вы не разработкой, а установкой систем хотите заниматься, то посмотрите сайты крупных компаний, занимающихся установкой и обслуживанием, например, охранных систем - ADT, BRINKS, BroadView Security и т.д.

Приветствую!

Меня интересует как щас обстоит дела со сферой ERP систем, а именно SAP . О себе могу сказать следующее : Три года опыта , два продуктивных проекта . Программист ABAP( есть навыки JAVA но не в SAP), а также владею модулями MM/SD и опыт во внедрении нефтянного отраслевого решения IS-Oil. Как сложно будет найти мне работу с учетом того что работал в основном для нефтянки . И если можно какой диапозон (хотя бы примерно) з/п . Во многих вакансиях опубликованных на соответствующих сайтах пункт salary просто не указывают .

Я немного пробежался по вакансиям в штатах (ИТ отрасль).
И вот обнаружил такую фразу
... to authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
т.е. если я правильно понимаю как и для англии, для работы в штатах можно получит некое разрешение на работу там ? и менно работу у любого работодателя ? а где такое можно получить или почитать об этом более детально ?

Это заинтересует работодателя только в том случае, если вы обладаете уникальными навыками или стоите намного дешевле, чем рабочая сила в США. В основном это касалось IT Специалистов, поскольку рынок ИТ в США развивался очень бурно и своих специалистов действительно не хватало. Однако из-за кризиса много увольнений даже в ИТ, рабочей силы много и тратить деньги на оформление документов для иностранного специалиста - нет смысла.

Еще один вариант - если вы получили образование в США, все еще находитесь в США по действующей учебной визе и хотите получить рабочую. Компания, увидев вас на собеседовании, может так впечатлиться, что захочет именно вас. Но тоже не гарантия... Из-за кризиса один мой друг уже полгода ищет работу - хотя есть и опыт работы в США, но нужно спонсорство компании на получение рабочей визы, и никто не хочет связываться, когда полно безработных американцев ((

Это не просто "не так просто". Это ОЧЕНЬ СЛОЖНО. Страна защищает свой рынок труда от дешевой рабочей силы. Поэтому существующая рабочая виза Н-1В имеет очень четкие и очень высокие требования - нужно быть профессионалом в той области, где наблюдается недостаток местных работников. Причем не просто "профессионалом" - работа должна требовать высшего образования и опыта работы. Плюс, работодатель должен оформить кучу бумаг, заплатить несколько тысяч долларов (включая услуги юристов), ждать работника от полугода до полутора лет. Плюс, существуют определенные квоты на таких работников. Таким образом человек должен быть на две головы выше местных претендентов на данную позицию, чтобы заинтересовать работодателя настолько, чтобы тот пошел на весь этот геморрой с рабочей визой.

По-поводу же "сезонной рабочей визы" Н-2В тоже далеко не все просто. Во-первых, есть только небольшой список стран, которые могут участвовать в данной программе. Из всех стран СНГ туда входит только Украина. Но даже в этом случае встает вопрос о финансовой целесообразности приглашения работника из-за океана. Обычно по этой визе приглашают на такие работы, на которые нормальные люди с легальным статусом просто не идут работать. Причем платят очень очень мало. И если мексиканцу для работы в Техасе можно сесть в машину, и через пару часов оказаться на рабочем месте, то человек из-за океана должен будет купить билет на самолет, прилететь, арендовать машину и так далее. Потом, те же мексиканцы в Техасе в большинстве своем живут или у друзей/родственников/знакомых, или арендуют дешевое жилье и живут большим табором. Если человек из хСССР не говорит по испански, то вряд ли он сможет выжить в таких условиях, так что придется снимать жилье самостоятельно. В общем, хотя это возможно в теории, на практике это маловероятно.

у меня по трудовой стаж системного администратора 2 года, образование - колледж по специальности 2201 комплексы ЭВМ, системы, сети, сейчас вышку заканчиваю по информационные технологии и коммуникации, но сертификатов нет, на сколько сильно это будет влиять в штатах ?
а так, занимаюсь cisco asa серии, ставил правда не сам, но сейчас всё администрирование на мне и справляюсь ) потом почтарь на freebsd, ну и знание win линейки соответственно еще администрирование гибрид АТС станции panasonic на 100+ номеров.
какие специальности в штатах мне могут подойти ?

You will participate in developing new features, optimizing the existing source code to speed up our applications, fixing issues, and writing test.
