Есть места, где не очень правильно написано, в плане английского языка. Например, по моему, “can be utilize and enhance” было бы правильнее “can be utilized and enhanced”.
“Responsible for the designing the advance SQL queries, procedure, cursor, triggers, scripts” - “Responsible for designing advanced SQL queries, procedures, cursors, …”, “Responsible for the analyzing” - “Responsible for analyzing”, и т.д.
HTML и DHTML к “Scripting Languages”, ИМХО, имеют слабое отношение. Хотя, вопрос спорный.

Что здесь не так? Повторения? Но это “смысл” работы разработчика базы данных, и фактически повторяются в каждом проекте на каждом месте работы. Или достаточно указать только один раз?

Ок, это не принципиальные позиции и их можно убрать.

Нет, не в смысле повторений. Просто, по моему, неправильно написаны эти предложения/фразы.
Т.е. если написать “Responsible for the designing the advance SQL queries, procedure, cursor, triggers, scripts”, то все поймут, что вы имели в виду, но для носителей языка это звучит может чуть лучше чем как “твоя моя не понимай” :slight_smile:

  1. EDUCATION, как правило пишется в конце. Обычно оно ставится над REFERENCE.

  2. Под шапкой каждой работы желательно писать с какими tools вы работали на этой работе, например:

  1. У Вас 17 лет трудового опыта, а резюме выглайдит довольно кратко для такого длительного периода. У агента не создастся впечатления, что Вы работали 17 лет. Для каждой работы сделайте несколько абзатцев (параграфов), каждый из которых посвятите какому-то крупному проекту. А всё остальное поместите в последний абзатц. А кроме того, не понятно, для каких бизнесс аппликэйшенс Вы это делали. Для агентов это очень важно, были ли это банковские или страховые аппликэйшенс, образование, связь, и т.д.

  2. Цель этих аппликэйшенс. Какие производственные процессы они облегчают? Если есть такие данные, было бы ещё хорошо указать, сколько денег компания сэкономила в результате внедрения ваших программ.

  3. Нужно указыватьть больше подробностей. Какими инструментами Вы пользовались, чтобы оптимизировать базу данных? Perfmon, Tracer? Какие виды replications делали (tran, snapshot, etc) ? Чем делали бэкап?

  4. Желательно хоть где-то указать, что Вы отлично знакомы с Full Software Developmnt Life Cicle (или что-то вроде этого).

  5. Если работали с очень большой базой данных, например свыше 1 TB, укажите это.

  6. Желательно ещё где-то поместитить такие штампы, как hard-worker, self-starter, fast-learner, can work under pressure. Никто, конечно, в эту ерунду не верит. Но если у Вас нет хотя бы каких-то из этих штампов - у Вас шансов поменьше.

  7. Как указывалось выше, не допускаются никакие грамматичекие, а также орфографические ошибки. Резюме должно быть тщательно отполировано, отшлифовано. Даже если у Вас прекрасное резюме, какя-то одна грамматическая ошибка может Вам всё испортить.

  8. Многие люди могут не знать, что такое “Belarus”. Для Америки это не редкость. Советую написать что-то вроде Republic of Belarus, это там где Ваш аддресс.

  9. А также где-то, в начале или в конце поставьте, что Вы незамедлительно можете приехать в Соединённые Штаты. По-всей видимости, лучше в конце, там где Вы пишите о своей визе.

У Вас есть два пути, как у того камня, на перекрестке. И никто за Вас выбор не сделает. Так что, расклад такой:

  1. Вы освоите американскую культуру написания резюме
  2. Вы будете объяснять тем, кто захочет слушать (они быстро кончатся) почему этого можно не делать

Если надумаете идти по первому пути, то наройте в крэгслисте пяток резюме похожего профиля и с них сделайте что-то подобное для себя. Вот что-то вроде:

В догонку вопрос по образованию. Специальность в дипломе - радиоинженер. BS в какой области мне писать? In computer science - вроде как враньё… А с другой стороны, я претендую на работу в этой области…

Мое личное мнение, этого делать не надо. То есть можно дополнить что-то или переписать что-то у автора в резюме (по крайней мере первое), но чтобы параграфами каждую работу описывать это бред. Никто это читать полностью не будет. Нужно кратко и по смыслу, собственно что автор и сделал в переделанном им резюме, что получилось намного более читабельно. Я конечно же не говорю про правильность написания некоторых фраз, но само содержание последнего резюме на порядок лучше, чем было первое и не написано параграфами.

Я интервьюировал много людей на позицию Sr. Software Engineer и те резюме, в которых было много листов я просто не читал полностью, только первые пару предложений по каждой работе, а у некоторых опыта было блольше 20 лет, соответственно и работ не одна. Индусы любят таким заниматься - писать эссе по 10 страниц где должно быть 2, максимум 3.

Но как я сказал это мое личное мнение и основано на личном опыте интервьюирования других людей.

А не будет ли это overgraduate для работ с необходимым бакалавром?

Overqualified? Так BS - это же вроде бакалавр и есть. У меня перевели, по моему, как “combined bachelor and master of science degree in electronic engineering”. Пока мне никто не говорил, что я overqualified. Видимо, по результатам личного общения видят, что определенно не overqualified :slight_smile:
